There's something about a last day somewhere, a last day of anything you've done or accomplished or endured. Today marks our last day in California, where we have spent the last several months traveling up and down the coast: to the Sierras, Yosemite, the Redwoods, Big Sur, Mendocino, wine country, the quintessential southern beaches. Our traveling days are slowly but surely coming to a close, and with that, we are fitting in what we still can. Sadly, we cannot do it all - but we have done SO much, and today, E is learning to surf, a longtime goal. I am watching, proud, from the shore - reflecting on our six months on the road, the dreams we went after, the things and places we saw, the people we met and found true kinship with. I am looking forward with hope and excitement - because while this may be our last day here, tomorrow is the first in the next chapter.
