Thanks to the recent development of a storm within fairly close proximity to #Hawaii out to the NW, a decent size pulse of WNW-NW swell (295-315°) will build in late tonight and through Wednesday morning, just in time for the #HawaiianPro at #Haleiwa.

Look for the initial longer period forerunners of the swell to show late today on the North Shore, but the swell really starts to fill in overnight. On Wednesday, the swell fills in further and tops out over the afternoon/night. Many breaks on the North Shore will see overhead surf while standouts hit the double overhead+ zone. The swell starts to ease on Thursday, but still providing overhead sets for the best breaks.

As the storm tracks toward the east over the next couple days, it is expected to keep a fetch intact for Hawaii. As a result, the swell angle will gradually shift from NW to NNW-North (315-360°) over Thurs/Fri, and should still offer fun zone surf on the North Shore.
