If your "coach" tells you not to eat fruit because it has sugar....please drop them immediately.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with eating fruit. I eat it daily. Does fruit contain sugar? Yes. It also contains FIBER! Fiber tends to blunt the glycemic response so you aren't going to hit the same spikes in insulin! I feel like social media and this whole new #fitspo instafame lifestyle has completely screwed with people's heads making them uneasy about eating certain foods. As I've told plenty of my clients in the past....it's not the couple chips with salsa that cause the weight gain....its when you consume the whole bag! It's not certain food groups that lead to weight gain. It's overeating that leads to weight gain.
A MAINTAINABLE lifestyle is a system of living that allows you freedom! Don't do hours of cardio. Don't sustain from eating certain nutrients. Don't eat the same thing everyday. You will crack and binge and gain all the weight back and then some.
