"As a teenager in 2005, I saw my first live concert, Oasis, at Madison Square Garden. Going back over the years to see my favorite musical acts, the venue has always inspired immense awe and creativity. It is “the world’s most famous arena” after all; Led Zeppelin played there for heaven’s sake. Fast forward to the early years of this decade’s Dance Music craze in the US, where I was fortunate enough to work closely with a young, passionate, and brilliant, French native named Hugo Leclercq (aka #Madeon), who arrived on the french/electro house scene in time to ride the wave. On the heels of this year’s Adventure Tour, named for his debut album, Madeon played the epic MSG. The vibe was fierce. Hugo’s energy and emotion on stage, soloing on his signature Launchpad (midi controller) like it was a Gibson Les Paul, brought the crowd back to the rock stars of the 80s and the pop stars of the 90s. A worthy page in MSG’s storied past and a look towards its exciting future." As told to @Rolling Stone by photographer @ajrphotos
