The Eastern North Pacific storm track is alive, well, and doling out this weeks installment of the #PurpleBloboftheWeek. We’ve been tracking an impressive low through the middle of the week as it setup a broad fetch of 50kts+ winds along the western periphery of the Gulf of Alaska. That storm/fetch has a solid run of NW swell on track for the West Coast of the US; building in and peaking today for the Pacific NW, followed by North and Central California to start the weekend, while SoCal gets snubbed. Conditions are problematic with the peak of the swell for many areas in NorCal and the Pacific NW as the low impacts the region, and look more favorable to the south and ahead of the front.
