The Heaviside dolphin is small, just under 2 m long and a true Benguela current endemic, restricted to southern Angola, Namibia and South Africa as far east as Cape Point. It spends its mornings socialising inshore and heads offshore during the day and night to feed on squid and bottom dwelling fish.
