"I knew a little bit about Nile Rodgers and #Chic before photographing them opening for Duran Duran at the Greek in Berkeley but was blown away by how many songs I actually knew and how much influence the group has had. To having his hands in writing songs for David Bowie like "Let's Dance," Daft Punk's smash hit "Get Lucky" with Pharrell, producing Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and others like "We Are Family " and "Le Freak," it's no surprise that Nile Rodgers is a nominee for induction into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame next year. The best thing about Chic's shows is that they turn into one big nostalgic dance party as everyone has great memories surrounded by these songs. Chic's singers, Kimberly Davis and Folami really set the tone for the show with their phenomenal vocal range and personalities.
