Photo: @rezaphotography // Landmines // In #Cambodia in 1996, landmines are still rampant and are even less identifiable as they move during the season of heavy rain. A number of children and adults land on these “cowardly weapons.” Most of the time the children die because their small bodies cannot endure the intensity of the blast. The adults, in turn, lose a leg, or even both. While reporting, I meet victims and leaders of associations. Again, the symbol of this tragedy, which is not unique to Cambodia, lies in this image taken in the privacy of a family home with the detail of the bandage, which alone, summarizes the tragedy.
