Happy “Friyay” everyone! ?? I just wanted to touch upon something I have noticed in the fitness industry & pretty much in life in general. I know it’s been said before & it may seem cliche, but I think it needs to be stated over & over again: Real Women Empower One Another; Little Girls Envy One Another. This is not directed at anyone in particular, I just feel strongly that women should empower other women for multiple reasons. Every man & woman has insecurities. It is human, it is natural & it is just a fact. As a woman, I have seen many destructive behaviors associated with jealousy: hatred, envy, trying to sabotage someone, beat someone, gossip about someone, throw out insults, & mock any failures or faults someone else may have. Jealousy never ends. Its a vicious cycle that actually eats you alive the longer you let it thrive. It doesn’t end up hurting the other person unless that other person has stooped to the same level & oftentimes gets even worse. I have tried my best to always positively encourage others, especially women, to be the best that they can be & recognize their accomplishments outwardly & collaboratively. I have my insecurities too & other women I look at & think “Wow! I wonder what it’s like to be her!” & then I realize, (whoever she may be) has faults, insecurities, weaknesses & is a real person looking for many of the same things I seek in life: friendship, family, fun, love, laughter, strength & success. If we build one another up, we can learn from one another, collaborate together, build friendships, & ultimately feed off of one another’s strengths instead of constantly reminding ourselves of our own weaknesses, what we don’t have or what “she has.” Here’s a fellow fitness hustler, my good friend, @Tamra__D, who takes every opportunity that comes her way to meet & great other women with respect & collaborate together. Why be a single sneaky cat when you can be a lioness amongst her pride? Love to the girls in my little pride: @anllelasagra @michelle_lewin @tamra_d @sandraprikker @buffbunny @suelasmar @hunnybunsfit @Andreiabrazier @eventfitness @lauraivetteg @briannaleefit @mandysacs & so many others!
