For this husband and wife duo, Venice was the last stop on a five-week trip across Europe. A ten-minute walk from St. Marks Square, their listing was the perfect happy medium: close enough to all the well known attractions but tucked away just enough to feel as though they were truly living among the locals. Their host Maurice, a native Venetian, sat them down and made a list of all the must-see places: from dinner in the Rialto Market on the Grand Canal, to leaving city limits to explore all the other little town centers surrounding Venice. Their favorite moment: Strolling through one of the neighboring cities as school got out, listening to Italian children singing and playing as they left for home.
