While staying in a riad in the medina of Marrakech, four friends took to the streets to explore the old city. The challenge for the week? Find as many palaces as possible. A 15 minute walk from where they were staying, they made friends with a Moroccan man selling water. With an invaluable tip from the local—who said that it was closing early for Ramadan—they hurried on to the nearby Bahia Palace. If the floors are this breathtaking, we can only imagine what they saw when they looked up.
