Five decades ago, only a few fisherman lived in this little coastal town. But when people realized that it was the best beach on the southern coast of Ecuador, it became a top surfing destination and an entire village popped up. And good thing for us. Because Montañita might translate to “little mountain,” but the view from this penthouse is anything but small.
