After 17 days on the route with only 7 days of food, we make a summit bid. Starting at midnight, we begin climbing in the dark subzero temps. Completely depleted and battered after over two weeks on the wall, we know it’s a long shot, but it is our last chance. Conrad tackles steep mixed ice and rock pitches through the night. Eventually after a long day of intense climbing, @コンラッド・アンカー spends an hour chopping through an overhanging cornice that would lead us to the summit ridgeline. Here @renan_ozturk takes a beating from the snow and ice falling 150ft from Conrad's efforts above. It was the final breaking point for Renan. I felt awful watching him take hit after hit of ice. I was just outside of the strike zone but there was nothing I could do but hope for the best and shoot.
