This week we want to highlight not one #PurpleBlobOfTheWeek, but two blobs from two separate typhoons in the western #Pacific. The storm on the left is #TyphoonGoni which is currently east of the northern #Philippines and is sending solid swell to the Philippines, #Taiwan and #Japan as it continues to track westward. The system on the right, which is actually a #PlatinumBlobOfTheWeek, is #SuperTyphoonAtsani. This storm is forecasted to strengthen over the next day or so as it moves northwestward, and more swell courtesy of Atsani is already en route to the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan.
