"Oliver is the most amazing dog. I've been lucky enough to have him in my life for over a year now. Last June, he came into the shelter in horrible condition after someone dumped him in the country. His back was bald and bleeding from a severe flea allergy, his ears were so infected that he could barely hear, his nails were overgrown, his hips and coat were in rough shape, and he was estimated to be approximately 10 years old. It was clear that no one had taken care of him in a long time. But despite this, he still loved people. I instantly knew that he was very special - it was love at first sight. However, instead of the shelter treating him for his medical problems, they denied him medical treatment and planned to euthanize him after being held for his legal hold time. I had to fight very hard to save his life, and endure a lot of scrutiny for doing so, but I knew that he was worth it. Ever since adopting him, he has been an absolute joy and the perfect addition to our family. He loves everyone he meets - dogs, cats, and kids included. He is a goofy boy who truly believes that he is still a puppy. Oliver is the most incredible dog, and I feel unbelievably lucky to have him," writes @oliver.adventures.
