Working on the original book has been one of the most rewards gig's of my career. It had always been a dream to work for @sportsillustrated, and then to have a dozen photos published in black & white, on my first opportunity, well let's just say I was pretty happy.
@Buzz_Bissinger 's book continues to have an impact, it has spawned a genre of writing and is on 100's of high school and college reading lists.
@SportsIllustrated beautifully publishes an essay about Bissinger's trip to reconnect with the kids, who are now men. I can say that reading the article moved me to tears, I think it will have a large impact on a lot of us who grew up with the book.
