Kiki Smith's monumental 1995 installation "Jersey Crows" is her sculptural interpretation of an event in New Jersey in which a flock of crows fell dead after flying through a cloud of airborne toxins. Cast in painted bronze, 27 crows are strewn about, indoors and out, forcing the viewer to carefully navigate the installation.
