Luxor Temple, a large Ancient Egyptian complex, is located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes). Luxor actually has several great temples including four on the left bank (Goornah, Dayr-eh-Baharee, the Ramesseum, and Medinet Haboo) and two on the right bank (Karnak and Luxor). One of the great features of Luxor Temple is the ability to go there at night, which allows you to avoid some of the crowds and heat, as well as offering some interesting views of the temple under the lights.
