You might not believe that the Gobi Desert in Mongolia can be green, but trust me that, depending on the season and location, it most certainly can be. You might also find it hard to believe that one can see a rainbow, even a double rainbow, in a desert, but once again, the Gobi is no ordinary desert. I shot this beautiful #doublerainbow while overlooking the vast green desert in front of the Mongolian Gers (yurts) at the amazing Three Camel Lodge (part of the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World). The lodge has this incredible view where the land and sky seems to go on forever, as far as the eye can see. We watched this storm approach for hours as it slowly moved its way toward us. When it finally reached us it produced an ethereal double rainbow that also seemed to last for hours. It was an amazing spectacle. Photo by @magnumji #natgeolodges
