In one of the poorest regions of India where girls are typically seen as incapable of intellectual pursuits, hundreds of them line the halls of Pardada Pardadi- a community providing traditional schooling, health education, and economic empowerment to girls.

The Pardada Pardadi Educational Society was established to give educational opportunities to girls who would have otherwise been forced to stay home and remain in the family labor pool for the rest of their lives. PPES has grown tremendously since its inception 15 years ago, and is steadily shifting the idea that girls shouldn't receive an education. #friday #education #girls #empowerment #india #future
