43/100: trying new things :: using the late afternoon and evening to turn off my phone and completely unplug from all devices. I spent time with my family and was really able to re-focus on the littlest details of each passing moment only to remember (again) how I am the richest woman and mother alive. Truly. I love these moments the best where nothing extraordinary is happening, it's just the normal humdrum of our daily life and rhythm, but in all of that it's beyond extraordinary - it's miraculous and absolute beauty in its purest essence. I am so very thankful.✨ Today was about wonder in the little stuff and letting our childlike hearts be free: making goofy faces in the mirror and at each other and laughing during each interval, making bubbles, looking for "magical wish plants" (dandelions) outdoors, going on an errand but pretending we're on a mission (from God) with our sunglasses on (go watch the Blues Brothers if you don't know the reference there), and in between Chicago, a wagon, and intergalactic jungles, we came home with matching mini trinket sized watercolour tins. Mine's the ice cream sundae and my son has the choo choo train tin. Because of course. ??? PS - we really didn't go to Chicago nor do we have a wagon but we did, in fact, travel to an intergalactic jungle.
