I've seen this advertisement on every corner in Brussels and the same thought pops into my head- I'm so happy to see a woman looking like a woman. It's refreshing, and it's honest, but what is most important is it sends a message without sending one. When the media feeds young girls with unrealistic imagery, proportions that don't reflect what a woman's body should look like, they grow up feeling like they're never good enough resulting in self esteem issues and even eating disorders. We're surrounded by it, unknowingly influenced by it, and these girls don't realize it's all a lie. So here's to looking beautiful, healthy, normal, and NOT photoshopped while still managing to sell lingerie. Cheers Brussels, you've got it right!
