Much of the burden of being a refugee falls upon women, many of whom are forced to leave their homes with nothing. @ljohnphoto is currently in Jordan working with @UNRefugees on the Syrian Refugee Project: a mission to photograph nearly 18,000 refugees who’ve escaped the violence of home and gift portraits to those who may lack a possession as simple a photo of their family.
