Someone is excited for the weekend! Today is also Tree Kangaroo Awareness Day and to celebrate we’d like to introduce you to our newest Goodfellow’s Tree-kangaroo, Kimbe. The nine-year-old recently arrived at Taronga from Singapore Zoo as part of the global breeding program for her endangered species. Native to Papua New Guinea, Goodfellow’s Tree-kangaroos are under threat in the wild due to hunting, habitat loss and encroaching human activity.
