A woman sells inflatable toys along the riverfront in Kampot, #Cambodia. @jerryredfern's of Kampot were featured in a @nytimestravel story tracing the footsteps of Henri Mouhot, a French explorer and naturalist who made the Angkor ruins famous in Europe after encountering them in 1860. In Mouhot’s day, #Kampot was a bustling port town. “Six or seven ships loading at one time,” he wrote. “Chinese and European vessels may be constantly seen going up and down the stream.” Today, Kampot is much calmer — a favorite among both locals and tourists who like a slower pace of life.
