TNR turn rescue story....trapped this poor boy for TNR but ended up treating this awful case of conjunctivitis thought to be from Feline Herpes. He was neutered the first day and his wounds were treated along with a cortisone shot and Antibiotic injection while under anesthesia. These pics were taken over a 4 day period. He has since gone to a rescue friend who is experienced with handling ferals (he is very feral) for further treatment (eye drops and more vet visits) to heal his face before returning him to his colony. TNR isn't all about trap, spay/neuter, & return. Sometimes you get a case like this where you get to make a much more positive difference in their life than just sterilizing. Can you imagine the pain this poor boy was in? If you have a little spare time on your hands & want a self rewarding experience in an area that so desperately needs help, contact a local no-kill rescue to ask about volunteering to TNR.
