"Her inspiration for these patterns came from the elaborate decoration of mosques, from traditional crafts, and, in the case of the mirror balls, from the everyday life of her city. The concept for the form of the mirror balls came to Monir when she saw a group of children playing soccer in the streets of Tehran.
