Amina Abdullhidiso, a #polio survivor, stands in Kano State, #Nigeria. In addition to making seat covers for tricycles designed for people with disabilities, Amina is a member of the Kano State Polio Victims Trust Association. Members have been instrumental in educating local communities about the importance of vaccinating children against polio, going door-to-door to show parents the consequences of the disease. Nigeria is one of just three countries worldwide where polio remains endemic, but has made great progress towards eradication.
