Syrian refugee Halid, 17, won’t admit he’s an artist - but there’s no denying he has talent. While living at a camp in #Turkey and volunteering at a #UNICEF Child Friendly Space he creates sculptures using simple copper wires. “I’m just passing the time,” Halid says, as he aspires to become a computer engineer. “This is all a hobby for me.” Halid came to Turkey with his family four months ago after a rough journey fleeing conflict in #Kobane, #Syria - the 17-year-old suffers from a physical disability caused by hemophilia. “My father lifted me and carried me on his back as we passed through the border,” Halid says.
