“If we are talking about the state of trans communities, my face is not a particularly representative one. In fact, in many ways I am one of the most privileged iterations of trans-ness one could conceive of,” wrote Graham Bridgeman, who was photographed for a series of editorials looking at what it’s like to be transgender today, as well as the challenges ahead. To illustrate the idea of transition, @ニューヨーク・タイムズ staff photographer Damon Winter created this multiple-exposure image, which shows a very subtle change in expression over the course of five exposures.
