#OnKawara began his “Today” series on January 4, 1966. He worked on the series for nearly five decades until his passing last year, consisting of a monochromatic canvas of red, blue, or gray with the date on which it was made in white. Today is your last chance to see these works in “On Kawara—Silence” at the Guggenheim, the first full representation of the artist’s output including every category of work, much of it produced during his travels across the globe. The museum is open until 5:45 pm today with live readings of “One Million Years” until 5 pm.
