It's a strange landscape, I know. It's a labyrinth made with basalt stones, result of volcanic activities, where inside grow up a vineyard. That's the technique for making wine on the island of Pico, Azores. The basalt wall protects the vineyards from the ocean wind. The vineyards grow up horizontally. The harvest is rigorously by hand. No one machine can move into the tiny space of the labyrinth.
