Sculptor Antony Gormley has no use for rock, clay or plaster. Instead, his sculptures aim to pull you out of the physical world into the mind. This photo shows ‘BLIND LIGHT,’ his interactive installation at Pinchuk Art Centre in Kiev, where he used light and water vapor to prevent visitors from seeing anything—even their own bodies. “For me, art is not about objects of high monetary exchange,” he says. “It's about reasserting our firsthand experience in present time.” To see more of Antony’s ethereal work, head to go.ted.com/blindlight
