In celebration of NYC Rare Book Week, visit blogs.guggenheim.org to dive into the pages of our first-edition "Grapefruit" by Yoko Ono (@yokoonoofficial) from the Guggenheim Library, hand-lettered by the artist herself. Originally published in 1964 and now one of the best early examples of conceptual art, "Grapefruit" is titled as such according to Asian Art Curator @alexandramunroe, because Yoko “liked grapefruit as a child and—believing this fruit to be a hybrid of an orange and a lemon—that it reflected her sense of herself as ‘a spiritual hybrid.’” ?? #RareBookWeek
