Success Academy, New York City’s polarizing charter #school network, may have no peer in its devotion to accountability. @bengiville, a @ニューヨーク・タイムズ staff photographer, visited two different schools in #Harlem for a story looking inside the rapidly expanding charter school network. Inside the classrooms, she was impressed by the students’ focus, their good posture and their folded hands. “There was never a moment where their minds can wander,” she said. But when she went outside to photograph their break, she said, the kids acted more like kids. “They were truly able to really be free and run and be crazy during recess.”
