Hey! My name is Ashlyn Mae, I’m 16 years old and I train at Ellison Ballet’s Professional Training Program in NYC. I’m from Rhode Island, but this is my first year dancing here in New York. It’s been such a blessing and an amazing opportunity, I’ve learned so much about myself and I’ve grown as a dancer and as a person. In the past I’ve attended summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet School and Ellison Ballet! I’ll be staying at EB again this summer for my second year :)
This is one of my favorite stretches, It’s simple, but very effective for my body. This week I have my ballet exams and I’ll be performing the Queen Of The Dryads variation from Don Quixote, so this is one of the last things I do before rehearsing to stretch my extensions for the devloppés in the beginning and the Italian fouettés at the end!
