Marine biologists @t_simpkins and @eml246 removing crown-of-thorns starfish out of a patch of staghorn coral. You can see a small one in the foreground. Outbreaks of these coral-eating starfish are still considered the biggest threat to the Great Barrier Reef. Their numbers increase drastically when pollutants from land development wash out to sea.
