Happy birthday, will.i.am! "I have worked with will.i.am on a few different shoots and I have always enjoyed the process. I was hired to shoot this portrait at Nightbird studios at the Sunset Marquis hotel. This was my second time photographing him so I was prepared and knew exactly what I wanted to get out of the shoot. I walked in and we briefly chatted as I set up the lights. Once I had taken this shot I knew I had all that I needed. Whenever I’m shooting a portrait I’m very cognizant of the time demands on the artists I work with so I do my best to get the shots I need and I get out.
