Double waterspouts dropping down from a thunderstorm dangerously close to a passing sailboat offshore of #MiamiBeach during sunrise. South Florida is one of the most common places in the world to witness a "fair weather" waterspout. A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex that occurs over a body of water. They are connected to a towering cumulonimbus cloud. Waterspouts form mostly in the tropics and subtropics regions. Video still by Mike Theiss @ExtremeNature
