It always amazes me how forward thinking Costa Ricans are. The family that originally owned this land this vast ranch was on donated a large part of it to the University for Peace and set much more aside as a protected zone. They gave up being big land owners to protect the environment. That act sums up the motto of the country “Pura Vida” Pure Life.
