With the #49th #SuperBowl next week, I was happy to see a documentary about the four photographers who have been to every super bowl since 1967. #KEEPERSoftheSTREAK on #ESNP2 & #ABC was directed by another of the great sports photographers, #NeilLeifer (think #CassiusClay over #SonnyListon). The above paragraph about Walter is simply the truth. I grew up wanting to be that good....He had a cover of #MarkVaneaghen coming through the line with a few fingers grabbing his face mask. That photo and the picture of my W.A.Tittle crouched on the ground in the final season of his career are what (for me) football pictures are judged against. I have been very lucky in my career, one of the best examples of this is that I was able to work for @WalterIooss. He was a pleasure to be around, easily the nicest person I work for in this business. Think about that number 300 covers of #SI, @SportsIllustrated. His son @bjorniooss is a amazing young photographer working in NYC. So next weekend I will be watching the game, but focused on the sidelines hoping to catch a glimpse of Walter, #JohnBiever, #MickyPalmer & #TonyTomsic.
