Photo by @DavidDoubilet , A very curious and friendly #Hawksbill sea #turtle greeted us on each dive at The Fathers Reef #KimbeBay in Papua New Guinea. She followed our team through several dives the entire day and would rest on us from time to time as a swam along. Sea turtles are endangered due to #bycatch, #harvest, ingestion of #marinedebris and #habitatloss. Our team loved every minute of this magical encounter that lasted the entire day until we left her home waters BUT we were sad to think that the next group of people she might encounter would be fisherman that would catch her and sell her in the marketplace.
