Swimming has never been my thing and Camp Pendleton was a HUGE obstacle for me, not just because I had to keep on moving for 2h+, but the ocean swim scared me.
Being from Iceland, swimming in the ocean is not really an option, unless you like sub 40 degree water :) I have decided to get more comfortable in the pool and more efficient moving around in the water - hopefully it will carry over to swimming in the ocean.
I will do my best to spend at least a couple of hours in the water every week.
Don't think it is unlikely that we will see the ocean again this year in July!
