The Cub, kept in poor conditions in a small community of the Amazon River was captured after the death of his mother by hunters. Note that he had bigger teeth sawed off. This dramatic situation of poaching joins the advance of deforestation in the Amazon. The situation is very serious. Between 2007 and 2012 5 million trees have been exported illegally from Brazil.
