Today’s #throwbackthursday star is ‘Tam Dao’, the second of two François' Langurs born at Taronga in 2011. The birth was an encouraging moment for an endangered species that’s becoming increasingly hard to find in its native range, due to habitat loss and hunting. Did you know adult Francois’ Langurs have black fur, but babies come out of the womb a vibrant orange? This vivid colouration is thought to help adults keep track of the youngsters in the dim forest light. Photo by Rick Stevens
