Meet 'Mila', our new Przewalski’s Horse foal born at Taronga Western Plains Zoo! Did you know Przewalski’s Horses were once classified as extinct in the wild?
Taronga Western Plains Zoo contributed to a world zoo herd of 50 horses that were reintroduced to the wild in the Gobi Desert in 1995. Since then numbers have continued to increase in Mongolia and there are now almost 2000 Przewalski’s Horses in human care and in the wild today! #tarongawesternplainszoo
