It was mid day sometime, light out, and I was in the middle of a park in Farmington, NM named Kiwanas. The sky was blue but suddenly turned grey and it started to rain. As I looked over at the metal picnic table covering, I thought about going to take cover but one of the people I was with said I shouldn't, suggesting it was dangerous. Within seconds of him saying that... lightning struck a huge Cottonwood tree that wasn't far from us. The sound of the strike and the tree breaking in half and then hitting the ground was SO POWERFUL, SO VIVID, SO REAL. The tree fell directly at me. Lightning immediately struck 2 or 3 more times (i can't remember) each time it broke another massive cottonwood in half... as the last tree hit the ground I WOKE UP. HEART POUNDING (like a non-scary nightmare) I was breathing hard and looked at the clock, it was 3:30AM. Still breathing hard, I grabbed my computer and searched "dream dictionary-Lightning-strike-Tree" or something.
This is what I found:

Lightning struck tree: Death in some form. i.e. the loss of love, the ending of some part of ones personality, etc

Falling tree: Sense of threat to your identity; this can often suggest a big change in the way you express yourself. It is a breaking down of the influences you lived from in the past.

For the record I'm not all into dream interpretation or anything but... That dream happened early this morning and today November 19th, is the day I broke my back 14 years ago. The human mind, heart, psyche and spirit are amazing, and all so connected. WOAH.
