During an expedition to the Arctic Circle last year the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) was so intense you could reach up and grab it. The lights danced around the sky for over 3 hours in the Arctic Circle in Yukon Territory, Canada. The Aurora Borealis is a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude regions, caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the Thermosphere.
