#fbf A year ago today I got to come home after a 4 day hospital stay from a life threatening urinary blockage. Blockage, not just infection. It's very very rare in females but very common in males. Emergency clinics see them on a daily basis with males. Mama found me 4 days earlier laying lethargic and not moving inside one of our litterboxes. I had been giving her signs that I was sick but because there are 3 of us she just thought one of us was having a territory war with going pee pee in strange places but didn't know which one. We all learn through our mistakes. I want to share this with you so you humans know that at the first sign of anything out of character, take all of your pets to the vet right away if you don't know the culprit of the "marking" or see visible signs in one pet. It could be the difference of life or death and also the difference between a cheap vet visit and a round of antibiotics vs thousands when it gets to the stage it did with me. Be aware of your pet's behavior & litterbox habits. Mama said she'll do her best to answer questions on this post as it's a very important message to share. Please also share with your friends. Since she posted the story a year ago many people have commented about their pets going through it after me and it was only due to her post that they knew to take immediate action and were able to act in time. There were also many stories of past experiences where people found out or noticed too late & lost their loved one. Knowledge and awareness is key so please spread the word.
