My path to a balanced life started with meditation when I was 17. From there I moved towards asana and with time my practice has become a beautiful mix of both. Meditation is so important. Crucial, actually. At first it might feel overwhelming and difficult because that's what the mind wants you to believe. But meditation is everything but complicated. Meditation is your natural state. Your body and soul is continuously striving towards being in a meditative state, but the stress of our daily lives combined with the anxiety of our minds make this appear difficult. I love the saying; "if you can't make time to meditate for 20 minutes a day - make time for an hour!" Because this is exactly how it works. We need to slow down from within to see a change on the outside. The second our minds slow down, the world around us will too. You create the world you live in. Make a conscious effort to make it peaceful and calm! Wellbeing begins from here. So tomorrow's theme is Meditate; meaning I want you to take time to sit down in silence and focus on your breath. It doesn't need to be more complicated than that. I shared a full meditation and some tips on my blog so go to blogg.amelia.se/yogagirl to read more (Instagram captions are so limiting!?) Meditation is something I would love for you to stick with for these 21 days if you can. Set aside five or ten minutes before or after your yoga practice to sit in silence. Know that practicing meditation is just like practicing a yoga pose; it's difficult in the beginning but with practice you will find ease. Remember your first ever down dog? Not so comfortable, was it? Your first meditation sessions will be the same. Give yourself time to practice and be consistent.
